JackPOs Dumps Malware / DUmps Track 2 grabber

Maintaining the security of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a growing concern. The trend of POS malwares discovered last year continues with the recently discovered JackPOS malware. Like a number of POS malware families discovered last year, including Dexter, vSkimmer, Alina and BlackPOS, the new JackPOS malware is designed to steal payment card information from infected POS systems. Similarly to these malwares, it utilizes a Command and Control (C&C) communication channel for receiving operational commands and for exfiltrating the stolen credit card data.

Written in C++, “Dump Memory Grabber” searches the infected device for sensitive information. Once the information is found, it’s added to a text file which is sent back to a remote server, operated by Russia-based Selectel, via FTP.
